Annabelle+Abigail | Columbus Child Photography

These two beauties are no stranger to being in front of my camera. I’ve been their family photographer for years! I’ve known their mama, Helen, since we were both junior high cheerleaders! So, we’ve been friends a few years 😉 This time Helen wanted to make sure we got some photos of the girls in their Irish Dance costumes! Back when i was doing mostly senior photography at a studio in Dayton, i photographed quite a few beautiful irish dancers in their amazing costumes, so i couldn’t wait to see these girls in theirs! But before we got them all done up, i wanted to catch a few of the sisters just in their every day clothes. I love photographing sisters. They have such a special bond. As someone who loves her sister to pieces, i would have LOVED having some of images like these of me and her together!

i’ve always been amazed with Irish Dancers. I love watching them dance, their wigs are phenomenal. Dancing with all that hair cannot be easy! but how gorgeous do these girls look! i’m totally obsessed with them.

best annabelle moment/memory so far (answered by mom):

We refused to keep scissors in the house for YEARS, because I feared one of my girls cutting their own hair. So when Annabelle had a lock of hair falling into her face, she cut it.
When I realized her hair didn’t lay flat – I asked her what happened and she said the hairdresser did it earlier that day.
Truth was she did it at school & planned it all out so no one else would notice she cut her hair OR even see it in the trashcan she was in 2nd grade!!!
I could only laugh as I took every precaution to prevent that and turned out she looked adorbs with bangs for awhile

best abigail moment/memory so far (answered by mom):

Abigail has a great imagination is an excellent storyteller and could convince anyone what she says is truth.
So when she started telling us she’s a werewolf, we laughed and thought it was cute.
Now nearly a year later, we’ve heard about where werewolves play, how they travel, what they eat (black cats are their favorite), who else is a werewolf, and the moon cycles – we’re no longer shocked when Abigail doesn’t want to wake up after playing all night.
(Note: Abigail hasn’t ever seen a movie or read a book with werewolves, so we’re thinking the only way she can provide all these details is if she’s a REAL werewolf.) 😉

Best thing about having a sister (answered by girls):

Anna: someone to play with and having my best friend

Abby: someone to wash dishes for you and help you when you get stuck

Favorite thing about Irish Dance:

Anna: going to Feisanna where we have fun family time

Abby: winning
